Givens says Tyson wasn’t to blame for “breaking” up her relationship with Brad Pitt.

Robin Givens opened up about moving on after her violent marriage with Mike Tyson and the one story involving Brad Pitt the boxer keeps telling she says just isn’t true.

The “Riverdale” star appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” on Wednesday morning, where talk eventually turned to her famous exes.

Beginning with Eddie Murphy, Wendy mentioned how Givens “lost her V-card” to the actor, something Givens would neither confirm nor deny. Of their relationship, she only added that “it was nice.”

“Let’s go through the list, who’s next?” Givens then joked, before Williams pulled up a photo of Pitt, who she dated amid her divorce from Mike Tyson in 1989.

“I lost my virginity by the time I got to Brad,” the actress said, before Williams asked, “I understand it was Mike Tyson who really broke that relationship up?”

As the story goes — which Tyson most recently told on “The Real” in 2016 — he was on his way to Givens’ home to have sex with her amid divorce proceedings, when he ran into Pitt at their home.

“No,” Givens said in response to Williams’ question. “And don’t believe that thing, we were in bed and he came in, that never happened. He didn’t break the relationship.”

So, what was to blame? All the attention around her personal life following her split from Tyson.

“I think it was a lot. One thing that Brad and I had in common, we met in acting class, we were really serious about the work and when it’s hard to walk dow the streets in New York City or it was a time in my life when people were going through your garbage,” she explained. “I think Brad, he was very serious about his work. I think it just became a bit much. I think the whole situation was just a lot.”

Williams then asked why she stayed with Tyson for so long, after the domestic abuse she endured, and what was the breaking point.

“I think sometimes as people, women — perhaps men experience the same thing — you have a hard time sticking up for yourself, but it’s easier to stick up for people you love,” she explained, “and I remember being at our house in New Jersey in a closet off the kitchen and we were all in the closet, four of us hiding and I remember my sister bawling saying, ‘How long are you gonna put us all through this?'”

“It was crazy. I left after that,” she recalled. “I would like to believe I’m a better person for it, more compassionate and more loving. I hope. Somebody told me you were ground zero of #MeToo and I pray that anything I’ve gone through, however difficult it was for me, helps someone else.”

Givens and Tyson married in 1988, but she filed for divorce just three months later, alleging spousal abuse. Tyson admits he “socked” her through their marriage, telling Oprah, “and she socked me before, as well. It was just that kind of relationship.”
