The Patriots are in desperate need of a quarterback upgrade.

Mac Jones has become a polarizing figure in New England, and it’s unknown if this past season will be his last with the Patriots.

Social media is buzzing about his potential exit as a new rumor states a surprising team may want him.

The Seattle Seahawks are rumored to ‘have an interest’ in the former Pro Bowl quarterback.

The rumored report also took into account Geno Smith coming off a “pedestrian season” which would make more sense if Mac Jones wasn’t coming off two consecutive bad seasons.

Jones had a horrid 2023 season after he had Matt Patricia and Joe Judge running the offense in 2022.

The 25-year-old reportedly had a frosty relationship with Bill Belichick, who reportedly “raised the idea” of trading the Alabama product and now he has taken his talents back to college.

The third-year quarterback lost his confidence, got benched, and reportedly damaged his reputation in the locker room, including with Bailey Zappe.

New England has the option to trade Jones but they are unlikely to get a strong return for the 2021 first-round pick.

In 2023, Geno Smith threw for 3,624 yards and 20 touchdowns to nine interceptions while completing 64.7% of his pass attempts. His name has also been thrown around as being moved but it remains to be seen if it will actually happen.

Replacing Geno with a worse QB doesn’t seem ideal.
