Meghan Markle claims to know nothing about the British royal family, but her own past is proof that she lied.
A week has passed since the Sussexes’ bombshell interview rocked the international media and public opinion. The royal couple’s statements are still being dissected and commented on. Especially Meghan’s statement: “I was naive when I entered the royal family” .
” I grew up not knowing anything about the royal family. It wasn’t a topic of conversation in our house, nor was it something we followed, ” Meghan told Oprah in an interview on March 7 .
The Duchess of Sussex also said she never researched her husband online. However, Meghan’s childhood friends have come forward with evidence that the duchess lied. Suzy Ardakani, a friend of Meghan’s whose mother was a fan of Princess Diana.
Meghan said in the interview that she didn’t know much about the royal family.
” I always loved Diana and I gave Meghan her biography to read. I filmed the Princess’s wedding in 1981 and I watched it with my daughter and Meghan ,” said Suzy Ardakani’s mother.
Ninaki Priddy, a friend who was photographed with Meghan outside Buckingham Palace in 1996, once revealed to the media: ” Meghan has always been fascinated by the royal family. She wants to be the next Princess Diana .”
Royal biographer Andrew Morton also claimed that when Meghan was 16, she watched Princess Diana’s funeral with “tears rolling down her cheeks.” In fact, before becoming a royal, Meghan was repeatedly caught copying the late Princess’s style.

Before becoming a royal bride, Meghan was often seen with a style similar to Princess Diana.
Royal issues were also discussed on Meghan’s personal blog, The Tig, at the time, where the former American actress talked about the fairytale wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate in 2011.
” Little girls often dream of becoming princesses. And even grown women seem to retain that childhood dream. Just look at the glitz and glamour of the royal wedding and the endless discussions about Princess Kate,” Daily Mail quoted part of the content of Meghan’s past blog.
With the above evidence, it is hard to believe that Meghan knows nothing about the British royal family. As a fan of Princess Diana, Meghan certainly knows about her two sons. Therefore, the duchess once again made the public skeptical about the “truths” she told in the interview on March 7.
