Scarlett Johansson is finally addressing THAT joke on Saturday Night Live.

If you didn’t see, during the annual Christmas joke swap on Weekend Update, Colin Jost was forced to tell a nasty joke about his wife. The dirty joke in question was about the Marvel star’s lady parts! Colin cringed as he begrudgingly read from the teleprompter:

“Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from their menu but I ain’t tripping. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”

Yeah, pretty awful! Scarlett’s jaw DROPPED on camera when she heard it. You can see that video (below):

Now she’s finally revealing how the joke made her feel. The truth? She wasn’t playing that reaction up for the camera! She told InStyle in a new interview:

“It was so vulgar. I just can’t believe that they went there. I was like—it was so gross. It was really gross. And, like, old-school gross.”

Yeah, not something you’d expect on TV anymore! But that’s the thing about the joke swap, Colin and Michael Che purposely try to make the other cross the line. TBH, that’s what makes it a must-watch every year!

ScarJo went on to say she’d actually been warned they’d be making a vagina joke — but she had no idea what was coming during the show:

“My experience of it was so funny … I was like, ‘I mean, it’s a vagina joke, how bad could it be?’ And then as soon as the Costco photo came up, I was like, ‘No! No, Michael!’”Ad Feedback

We were all screaming “NO!” with her! Scarlett said the camera crews catching her reaction to the joke was also dizzying. The 40-year-old said she “felt insane”:

“The fact that it took on a full To Catch a Predator-style reveal or whatever, that was so intense. All of a sudden, it was like a whole bunch of people holding up lights, and a guy with a video camera. They were waiting for me to react. I felt insane. I was like, ‘I think I’m going to faint.’”

The Avengers actress said by the time she crawled into bed around 4 a.m. that night with her hubby, her “nerves” were “shot”. And Colin’s were, too. Something tells us he had to do a bit of buttering up his lovely wife for a bit… and until then this little piggy had none!
