WNBA teams have done their best to get as creative as possible with their respective 2025 schedule announcements. It wasn’t any different for the Seattle Storm, but it appears that their social media team may have gone a bit overboard with their decision to use Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark for their schedule announcement.
It isn’t really a surprise that the Storm decided to ride the Caitlin Clark wave as they revealed their 2025 schedule against the Fever. Seattle will host Indiana at Climate Pledge Arena twice in the regular season (June 24 and Aug. 3) before heading to Indianapolis to battle Clark and Co. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Aug. 26.
What has caught the attention of the fans about the Storm’s post, however, is the way they presented the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year.
Apart from the fact that this wasn’t the most professionally made graphic in the history of WNBA posts, the fans on social media were left utterly confused by certain elements in the photo in question.
“Why is there blood on her hand?” a user asked.
“I am so confused,” reacted another.
“Graphic design is also my passion,” a comment read.

“Why does Caitlin Clark have a bloody hand in this photo, basically saying already, these 3 games will be a massacre with Fever winning all 3,” surmised a Fever supporter.
“Unprofessional graphic. Please fire your editor 🤣😂” demanded another.
“what’s going on here 😭” asked a confused fan.
For what it’s worth, the Storm published multiple graphics on social media to announce the other games on their 2025 schedule, so it’s not as if this Fever one was their only post. However, this still does not take away from the fact that it left more than a few fans perplexed.
