The conflict started when Cardi B and GloRilla’s song “Tomorrow 2” hit number nine on the Billboard Top 100. JT congratulated GloRilla on Twitter but pointedly left out Cardi B, saying it was GloRilla’s moment. Cardi B then called JT a lap dog for Nicki Minaj. JT fired back, calling Cardi a wiener dog, and things escalated from there. Cardi B tweeted, “I’m not even doing this on the timeline. It’s becoming repetitive for doggy treats,” and hinted they addressed it privately in DMs.
JT responded, “Who’s doing anything for doggy treats? If anything, GloRilla gave you a bone you need to feed to that dog you were posing by the pool with,” referring to Cardi B’s significant other. Cardi B replied with, “Hot shit debuted higher than any song you ever dropped or been in prison pants. Everyone has good and bad moments, but you haven’t had one since ‘Act Up.'”
Fast forward to now, JT’s new album, “City Cinderella,” is dropping soon, and she used this old feud to throw shade at Cardi B in her lyrics, essentially calling her a has-been. Cardi B responded subtly by retweeting a post from her best friend promoting new music, but she hasn’t made a big fuss about it.
