shocking news: revealed details about the Splash Brothers duo of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry facing off against Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu at the All-Star Three-Point Contest (PO)

Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry are set to face Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu at all-star game

Stephen Curry is already recognized as the “Face of the League” for his incredible performance and dominance on the court, especially as the NBA’s viewership continues to rise this season. But it’s not just the NBA that’s gaining attention. The WNBA is also seeing an increase in popularity, largely due to the incredible talents of players like Caitlin Clark.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the NBA is in talks to introduce a new, exciting format for the 2025 All-Star Game in San Francisco. The highlight of the weekend could be a special three-point shootout featuring some of the biggest stars from both the NBA and the WNBA. Charania reported that Stephen Curry and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu are working together to bring back their popular three-point shootout with a twist.

Curry’s former Golden State Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson, may join the competition for a 2v2 shootout alongside Curry. They would potentially face off against Ionescu and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game alone garnered 5.5 million viewers, and this new format is expected to attract even more attention to both the NBA and WNBA. Charania confirmed that these discussions are underway, and fans can look forward to the possibility of an unforgettable competition.

“Sources tell me that Curry and Ionescu are continuing discussions on bringing back that shootout. There is plans for that. But also potentially including Klay Thompson and Caitlin Clark in that competition this year,” Charania reported.

Stephen Curry’s Warriors Improve Their Standing After Win Over The Grizzlies

Though not the top scorer of the night, Stephen Curry contributed significantly to the win with a well-rounded performance. He finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Curry shot 4-for-9 from the field, including three 3-pointers, in just 26 minutes of play.

Buddy Hield was the leading scorer for the Warriors, contributing 18 points, while Draymond Green also added 13 points. The Warriors will head to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Monday.
