Simone Biles knows it’s the thought that counts — even if the numbers don’t add up!
After a night out during Labor Day weekend, Biles, 27, posted an Instagram Stories video of a sign that didn’t have the correct number of Olympic gold medals she has won. “11X GOLD MEDALIST,” read the lit-up sign, which club employees held up among sparklers and bottles.
The seven-time gold medalist still appreciated the thoughtful gesture as it celebrated her incredible gymnastics career.
She posted the video of the moment on Saturday, Aug. 31, writing her correct medal count: “*7x gold medalist … *11x olympic medalist. they were close, still super sweet.” Biles clarified, adding a white heart emoji.

Biles returned home from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in mid-August with several more medals, bringing her total to 11 overall since 2016.
During the Paris Games, she took home three gold medals for women’s artistic individual all-around, team all-around and vault. She also won the silver medal on the floor.
Since her return home, she’s kept fans updated on the progress of the Texas “dream home” she is building with her husband, Jonathan Owens. “So lucky to do this thing called life with you 💋,” she wrote on Sept. 1 on her Instagram Stories showing off the finishes.
Biles has also kept sports on the schedule, even if she’s not competing. She and fellow gold medalist Gabby Thomas attended the Indiana Fever basketball game on Aug. 28 and greeted Caitlin Clark afterward.
The Olympian also threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Houston Astros game on Friday, Aug. 30.
Whether Biles will compete in the 2028 Olympics has yet to be seen — but Owens, 29, will support her no matter what she decides. The Chicago Bears player told PEOPLE in August that he approves of “whatever she chooses.”
