Jake Paul had a scary flight home from New York after his press conference for the upcoming Mike Tyson fight.
The boxer and YouTuber’s private jet appeared to be struck by lightning on Sunday night while on its way to Puerto Rico. He and his crew are fortunate to have made it back safely.
A video shared on Paul’s Instagram, captioned “The way home from the presser was interesting,” shows the moment the aircraft was struck. Paul, who joked he had angered the Gods, mock-prayed to Zeus after the plane was hit.
It doesn’t appear that anyone was actually afraid, but, of course, things could have gone south really quickly.

Paul has just completed his promotional presser for the upcoming fight with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The bout will be streamed live on Netflix on July 20.
Jake Paul Is Heading Into The Fight Of His Life
Most fans don’t believe Jake Paul will be able to beat Iron Mike, but he asked onlookers to “keep the same energy” after he knocks the veteran out.
“I’m gonna show Mike who has the most power,” he said. “I believe that I hit harder.”
“I’m going to F- Jake up,” Tyson responded. “How am I going to lose if he couldn’t beat Tommy Fury?”
Tyson, 58, will fight an opponent younger than half his age. The bout against the 27-year-old will feature eight two-minute rounds and count against his professional record.
He said he negotiated the shorter rounds so there would be no resting on laurels.
“I wanted shorter rounds for more action,” Tyson said. “If we have shorter rounds, we’ll fight more. More action.”
