A day has passed since the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in a thrilling encounter. It was a game that the fans of both teams would remember for a long time. The Chiefs’ fans would remember the clutch victory they had against the Bills, while the fans of the latter would remember the last-minute choking they had. The Bills were an inch close to grabbing the win, but a missed 44-yard field made things impossible for them.

Despite the loss, veteran analyst Skip Bayless said that it was Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, outplayed Patrick Mahomes in the thrilling encounter. It was a face-off between the two, and Allen had a chance to win it over Mahomes. Nonetheless, he failed. Like earlier, the Bills gave it up at the right moment.

In the latest episode of ‘Undisputed’, the veteran analyst said,

I give it up to Mahomes. He was very good. [But] I thought Josh Allen outplayed Mahomes last night, especially given degree of difficulty.

Statistically, though, Mahomes prevailed over Josh Allen. The Chiefs quarterback had more than 200 yards covered with two touchdowns in hand. A performance that many could find not up to the mark of Mahomes’ standards.

Nonetheless, it was impactful enough to beat the Bills. Allen, on the other hand, had 186 passing yards for a single touchdown. Not enough to beat the Chiefs.

Bayless believed Allen dominated the game with his arms and legs

Skip Bayless was not ready to accept the layman’s statistics. Putting a sharp contrast to what has been shown, the analyst said that Allen dominated the game with his arms and legs. He created more plays than Mahomes. Allen made up for his passing game with his rushing performance of 72 yards for two crucial touchdowns.

Given the pressure on Josh Allen and given the stats I’m looking at, Josh Allen actually dominated this game with his arms and his legs, even though he was dinking and dunking, but I’ve never heard of such a statistical anomaly as what happened last night–The Bills ran 78 plays, only 47 for Patrick Mahomes. Time of possession was 37 minutes for the home team to only 23 minutes for Patrick Mahomes.

According to the veteran analyst, it was the Bills defense that failed under pressure. The defenses of the two teams created the difference between the two.

While the Chiefs’ defense was at their usual best, the Bills’ defense failed to cover Travis Kelce and left Mahomes a few times. Bayless added that in a big game like the playoff, one can not afford to do this.
