The biggest play on Saturday night might end up being a rule the NFL is trying to get rid of.
The Dallas Cowboys returned to the friendly confines of AT&T Stadium on Saturday to face the fellow playoff-bound Detroit Lions.
CeeDee Lamb, who has already scored, was looking to get his second TD in the second quarter.
However, in the process of being tackled, he fumbled the ball and it fell out of the back of the end zone. It became a touchback and the Lions would get the ball.
Fans absolutely hate the rule and responded online:
I hate they they just wanna change EVERYTHING like it’s a fine rule how about just don’t fumble into the endzone

Another dumb rule that completely changes the rules at the goal line for no reason (see: “what is a catch” or “what is a fumble”).

Troy Vincent, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations, hinted at the possibility of eliminating the rule that currently turns fumbles in the end zone into offensive turnovers.
The above play is only going to make the call for a change even louder.
