The Olympics are one of the most watched sporting events in the world, and this year is no different. Athletes come from around the world to compete in the most significant moment of their lives in their respective sports.

Some sports are more fun to watch than others; some may enjoy basketball, while others enjoy combat sports like Judo and boxing. However, one Olympic athlete has fans drooling and tuning in to watch the Olympic volley in Paris.

A screenshot recently went viral on X after it captured the moment before Canada served the ball in a game against the Suise Volleyball team. Melissa Humana-Paredes can be seen preparing to serve the ball while teammate Brandie Wilkerson prepares for the play.

While Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson would, unfortunately, lose the match two sets to one, social media has gained a lot of traction, and fans are asking a little more about Wilkerson.

Who Is Brandie Wilkerson?

Fans had a blast reacting to the post, with one fan commenting that it’s “probably the highest viewership while another” added that “it’s very professional.”

Some fans even commented that they “agreed” with the statement.

Wilkerson has represented the Canadians in the games: Tokyo in 2020, Santiago in 2023, and the current Paris 2024 Olympics, and many new Olympic fans hope the Beach Volleyball playing isn’t quite over.

She didn’t become a teammate with her current partner until February 2023, when she and Humana-Paredes debuted on the Beach Pro Tour. At the Pan American Games, they earned their place as Olympic Flag bearers in 2023. It’s safe to say some fans want to see them bear the flag again!
