The Dallas Cowboys sit first in the NFC East Table.

Stephen A. Smith, who has dissed the Cowboys all his life, claims this is the best shot for Dak Prescott’s team to make it to the Super Bowl since 1995

In an utter surprise, Stephen A. Smith started praising the Dallas Cowboys and the quarterback Dak Prescott. A day ago, the veteran analyst and an ardent hater of the Dallas-based team said that the Cowboys had the easiest path to reach the Super Bowl (SB) championship this year since 1995, the last time when the Cowboys won the SB. Since then, the Cowboys have only bagged disappointment and nothing else. Since 1996, the team has failed to reach the Divisional Championship.

But Smith believes that this year the Cowboys would be able to break the curse. On Monday, the veteran analyst said in a recent episode of Get Up:

It comes down to the fact that the Dallas Cowboys, as presently constructed, the way things have fallen, I don’t think there’s any doubt that it should come down to the Dallas Cowboys meeting the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game.

In addition, the quarterback also said that Dak Prescott is presently the best quarterback in the NFC.

With the likes of Prescott, he also added that CeeDee Lamb is the best WR in the NFC Division. Having said that, the analyst raised a question of whether the team could beat the San Francisco 49ers.

In one of the episodes of Pat McAfee Show, Stephen A. Smith said:

I was on the National Television just a few hours ago. And I said this is the closest or the best shot that the Dallas Cowboys have to get to the Super Bowl since 1995. I am a fair-minded individual. I am fair-minded that Dak is the best quarterback in the NFC and CeeDee is the best wide receiver. They are in their best tandem. Their defense is real.

He then said:

Dallas is legit, But are they better than San Francisco?

Stephen A. Smith mocked Jerry Jones ahead of the season

Ahead of the season, Smith had a tone of sarcasm when Jerry Jones, the billionaire owner of the team suggested that this season would be different for his franchise. The analyst said that Jones holds a horrible tendency to repeat the same stuff year after year. In the end, it remained all the same. The team chokes when it is needed the most.

Smith pointed out the real problem that the Cowboys had was Dak Prescott. Praising the defense, the analyst said:

Dak is still their quarterback.

His point was clear. Prescott’s habit of choking at the right moment has caused problems for their franchise.

As things seem, the analyst has taken a shift from what he thought earlier.
