There are many reasons why Taylor Swift is a certified phenomenon. From her 12 Grammy wins to having one of the biggest fanbases (hey, Swifties), the “Lavender Haze” songstress has become that girl in the music industry. Her professionalism has also played a major part in her success – especially the way she handles unexpected wardrobe malfunctions with style and grace.
In 2023, Taylor embarked on her massive Eras tour, consisting of 152 concerts across five continents. With a set list more than three hours long to encapsulate all 11 of the singer’s eras and multiple costume changes, she’s bound to have a few outfit mishaps. One such issue occurred in May 2024 when she had to call for a rare and quick intermission to adjust her blue dress, which exposed her shimmering gold bra underneath.

GONE WITH THE WIND
After experiencing the wind machine mishap in 2011, Taylor simply did a little shimmy and shake so the dress could fall back into its proper position.

DELICATE LIKE A FLOWER
The “Snow On the Beach” singer wore a breathtaking custom Oscar de la Renta mini dress at the 2021 Grammys, where she took home the Album of the Year award.
The gown featured various flowers that covered the dress and were very delicate, and a seam under her right arm ripped during the event. However, she wasn’t going to let a wardrobe malfunction ruin her big night and held her award high, exposing the damaged part of the dress.

LOL, JK
A fan posted a video of Taylor performing a stop on her “Reputation” tour in 2018 in a since-deleted tweet. The clip showed her accidentally unzipping her dress in the front, exposing a tank top underneath.
Unphased, Taylor mouthed “oops” to the crowd before zipping her outfit back in place.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE ~WILDEST~ DREAM WORK
It’s quite insane how the lyrics perfectly matched the timing of her crew fixing her broken garter belt in 2023.

QUICK INTERMISSION
The Eras tour doesn’t have an intermission built into the show, but Taylor called for a quick break during her May 19, 2024, concert in Stockholm, Sweden, when she had to adjust her blue gown. Video footage of the moment shared on TikTok showed the singer telling the audience to “talk amongst” themselves before she headed over to her piano bench to set down her guitar. She then unwrapped the top of her dress, exposing the gold bra that was part of a later costume for her Tortured Poets Department set. Many fans thought she was doing a costume change until they saw a crew member coming over to help Taylor and realized it was a wardrobe malfunction.
