Taylor Swift’s surprise songs from night 2 of her Singapore Eras Tour show prove mashups are here to stay

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour continued it’s international journey on Sunday night in Singapore (morning in the United States). The now 14-time Grammy winner will be touring almost non-stop for the entire year, and at each show she adds two “surprise songs” to her 44-song, three hour plus set list.

For the second of six nights in Singapore, Swift once again went with the mashups that she’s been so fond of in 2024. On the guitar, she played a combination of “Long Story Short” from evermore and “The Story of Us” from Speak Now. On piano, Swift went with a mashup of “Clean” from the 1989 mixed with “Evermore” from evermore.

Swift will perform four more shows in Singapore before taking off April for the launch of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift performs ‘Story’ mashup for Singapore’s secret songs on Eras Tour

SINGAPORE — Taylor Swift is playing the National Stadium for six nights on her only Southeast Asia tour stop on the Eras Tour. For the acoustic set, she continued her 2024 trend of mashups for the guitar and piano.

On night two, Swift strummed a mashup of “Long Story Short” from “Evermore” and “The Story of Us” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” on the guitar. For the piano, she performed “Clean” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” and the title track from “Evermore.”

Two ‘Reputation’ songs for night one

“This has become my favorite part of the show,” Swift said on Saturday, “because it’s become just very chaotic and it’s become a challenge for me to think of new things to do for every single city and just hope I’m doing something that you guys might like.”

On night one, Swift blended “Mine” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” with “Starlight” from “Red (Taylor’s Version)” on the guitar and performed a mashup of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” from the “Fifty Shades Darker” movie soundtrack and “Dress” from “Reputation” on the piano.

Swift will perform for six nights in Singapore before taking a two-month break. Her next show is in Paris on May 9.
