The reasons Queen Elizabeth WILL NEVER give up her throne REVEALED

ELIZABETH II will never abdicate her throne after being the Queen of England since February 6, 1952 and these are the main reasons why according to a royal expert.

Despite stepping down as patron of 25 charities in 2017, last week a new study revealed Her Majesty has increased her workload by 25 percent and the monarch has already completed 125 engagements since January.

Royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “It is important to emphasise the Queen will never abdicate.

“Gradually we would expect the Queen to scale down her duties but never to abdicate as she believes in total dedication to duty and in the oath she took to serve her whole life when she was 21.”

He added: “Nor has the example of her uncle been forgotten.”

The expert said the abdication of the Queen’s uncle Edward VII “haunted” the royal family and despite Prince Charles’s “whole life being in preparation for kingship” the Queen will never step down.

Mr Fitzwilliams added: “Her uncle abdicated and this still haunts the royal family.

“Any parallels with other monarchies are simply not relevant.”

One royal insider backed up Mr Fitzwilliams claims, saying the Queen is too loyal to her country, and would not step down unless a severe illness forced her to do so.

The source said: “The Queen has always been so vehement that there will never be a regency unless she was sick to the point of being unable to perform her duties.

“As long as she’s healthy, regardless of her age, I don’t see a regency.

“Other members of the royal family can just do more.”

Royal author Sarah Bradford also said: “The Queen simply feels she must do her duty and she’s never even contemplated abdication.”

On her 21st birthday in 1947 – speaking from Cape Town where she was on tour with her parents and younger sister – Elizabeth II told the Commonwealth she will serve for her whole life.

“I should like to make that dedication now.

“It is very simple.

“I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”

She ended by saying: “God help me to make good my vow and God bless all of you who are willing to share in it.”

Prince Charles is first in line to the throne if The Queen did decide to step down.

But a YouGov poll has unveiled just 36 percent of the nation believes the royal has made a positive contribution to the monarchy, compared to 60 percent in 2013.

A total of 27 percent also think he has had a negative impact on the royals.

It is thought that the dip in the Prince of Wales popularity is due to the negative press surrounding his treatment of Princess Diana when they were married after a series of documentaries revealed some of the secrets kept at the time.
