It all started back in 2014 during the Valentine’s Day period when Loubie, the dog, comforted her owner following a breakup. She would sit up and hold his wrists with both paws, crossing one over the other. I jokingly told my friends on Valentine’s Day that I now had a furry hand-holding companion.

Fernandez-Chavez now realizes that it’s not just himself, but the entire cosmos, that craves the comforting presence of his dog’s warmth.
