Travis Kelce is now publicly speaking out about a viral rumor that played a role in his breakup with his longtime girlfriend Kayla Nicole.

At the time, it was rumored that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end ‘cheap’ and would make his girlfriend pay half on everything and only gave her $100 during that relationship.

Back in May 2022, Nicole denied that rumor. She quote-retweeted a post from Barstool Sports which read, “Travis Kelce’s Girlfriend Kayla Nicole Allegedly Broke Up with Him Because He Kept Making Her Pay Half of Everything in The Five Years They Were Dating.” In response to that, Kayla wrote, “Not sure where y’all got this nonsense from, but it’s absurd and very false.”

Kelce did the same during an appearance on “The Pivot” podcast.

“How crazy is that?” Kelce said, via the New York Post. “Don’t buy into that s-t!”

 

“I would never say that I was supporting her,” Kelce told hosts Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark. “She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career. You’ve got to be crazy if you think I’d never helped or gave her a couple dollars to grab some food or she gave me some money… We were in a relationship for five years. A hundred dollars here and hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about, which is ridiculous.”

Kelce also revealed that he is single and looking to mingle. However, he is purely focused on the playoffs and not his dating life right now.

The Chiefs are the No. 1 seed in the AFC, which means they have a bye in the first round.
