On Sunday, after the Chiefs’ 30-27 win over the Panthers, a young Kansas City fan fell over the guard rails at Bank of America Stadium. Luckily, defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton caught him. The video has since gone viral, and Travis Kelce himself has seen it.
Of course, serious injuries were avoided, which is the most important part, but Kelce still thinks the family should take legal action against the Panthers on the “New Heights” podcast.
“I don’t know who the brainiac was who cut the railing right there. You see how there’s a little gap? What the f**k is that for?” he said.
“Dude he should f**kiing go to school with a neck brace on and sue the f**king Panthers. Get rich quick, kid,” Kelce continued.
“Shoutout to Terk for making sure the little guy was alright. Once I saw Terk was over there I knew everything was good,” he concluded.
Of course, the Panthers are in the middle of a horrific 3-8 season, and being sued for the injury of a fan at their own stadium would feel like a cherry on top for them.
Travis Kelce Might End With His Worst Season Ever
The Chiefs have now played 11 games this season, and Kelce has career lows in yards-per-reception (8.4), yards-per-game (51.7), and yards-per-targets (6.5).
He also has two receiving touchdowns, with his lowest in a season coming in 2016 when he had four.
At 35 years old, father time has officially caught up with the star tight end. If that is the case, it’s hard to imagine him wanting to retire while the Chiefs are still prime for a Super Bowl every year, but he could fall on the depth chart.
