Picture shows Trevor Lawrence and wife posing while Patrick Mahomes smiles

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was fascinated by how Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence celebrated his playoff victory at one of the most recognizable breakfast franchises in the nation.

The quarterback first led a remarkable comeback Saturday in Jacksonville, beating the Chargers 31-30 after the Jaguars fell behind 27-0. To celebrate, he, his wife, and a few teammates took their talents to a Waffle House.

On Tuesday, Trevor told reporters his wife had made a “reservation” there. Apparently, offensive lineman Brandon Scherff and backup quarterback E.J. Perry had never eaten at the establishment.

“It depends,” Lawrence said of his favorite menu item. “That night, I got the Texas bacon cheesesteak with hash browns with cheese and a pecan waffle. Sometimes I get the All-Star [breakfast].”

Patrick Mahomes, who, when asked about it at a Tuesday news conference, called it a “baller move.”

Lawrence and Mahomes are cordial now, but they will be doing battle on the field in just a few days. The Jaguars are 8.5-point underdogs on the road against the top-seeded Chiefs in the NFL divisional round on Saturday

Lawrence had 288 passing yards, four touchdown passes, and four interceptions against the Chargers.
