Cameras caught the epic message Patrick Mahomes had for Josh Allen following Sunday’s thriller between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
10 months after their epic meeting in the 2023 Divisional Round (a 27-24 Kansas City victory), the undefeated Chiefs returned to Highmark Stadium to meet the Bills. This time, Josh Allen got the better of Mahomes in a 30-21 victory to hand Kansas City their first loss of the season.
Gracious in defeat, cameras and microphones caught Mahomes delivering a powerful message and promise to Allen after the game:
Patrick Mahomes had a frustrating outing in what marks his first career loss in Buffalo. He was just 23-of-33 for 196 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Allen outplayed his rival with 262 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception, 55 rushing yards and a rushing score in the victory.
Josh Allen Evens Head-To-Head Series vs. Patrick Mahomes
With Sunday’s victory, Josh Allen is now 4-4 in his career against the three-time Super Bowl champion.
Of course, Allen’s Bills have lost all three playoff meetings to Mahomes (2020 AFC Championship Game, 2021 and 2023 Divisional Rounds). Nonetheless, Sunday’s victory was another firm reminder that Allen and the Bills are more than capable of thwarting a Kansas City three-peat.
