For all the importance that they preach about familial love and loyalty ever so fervently, the Fast family seems to be drenched in the crimson shade of conflicts.
First Dwayne Johnson butted heads with Vin Diesel, then the former professional wrestler had a falling out with Tyrese Gibson, who later found out the harsh way that family might not amount to everything after all since Diesel backed up The Rock instead of him. And recently, a new dispute was reportedly on the verge of calcifying into a full-fledged feud between the ring leader and Fast X star Jason Momoa. Diesel, however, seems to have set the record straight about that one.

Did Vin Diesel Throw Jason Momoa Under the Bus?
It’s no secret that the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise failed to impress the critics, save for Jason Momoa whose performance turned out to be a delight in what was otherwise deemed as a mediocre action flick. While it’s true that Fast X received a much more agreeable response from the audience and fared well at the box office, the fact of the matter remains that the film garnered mixed reviews at large. And it looks like that didn’t sit well with the leading man of the franchise.
While critics slammed the Louis Leterrier-helmed movie for its outlandish plot and over-the-top action sequences, they sang high praise of the Aquaman star, crowning him as the true star of the show. Reports even went so far as to claim that Diesel, 55, refused to take any responsibility whatsoever for the criticism that Fast X got subjected to and was using Momoa, 43, as the scapegoat instead. Given the former’s elaborate history of altercations and clashes with co-stars, it wouldn’t be the most surprising thing for the rumors to be true. But it looks like that might not be the cast as far as his alleged feud with the GoT star goes.

Jason Momoa and Vin Diesel
Contrary to what the tabloids seem to be saying, Diesel and Momoa don’t seem to be out for blood. In fact, the former seems to be extremely impressed by the Slumberland star, if his Instagram post of appreciation is anything to go by.
Besides acknowledging the Fast team for always being “expressive and collaborative,” the actor and producer explicitly mentioned Momoa, appreciating his “unique and special” contribution to Fast X. “Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene-stealing character that the world won’t forget,” Diesel wrote.
