Kim Kardashian has revealed that she walked Madonna‘s dog in exchange for the singer’s iconic jewellery when she was a kid.

While most kids wash their parent’s car or babysit for some pocket money, the SKIMS founder, 42, had a much more high profile way of spending her time when she was a child.

In a scene in new Disney+ documentary In Vogue: The 90s, Kim recalled being neighbours with the music icon, 66, in the 90s when she was around eight years-old, with herself and older sister Kourtney, 45, often tasked with walking Madonna’s dog.

However, instead of bagging themselves a few dollars for their piggy banks, the girls were rewarded with something much more glamorous – Madonna’s iconic neon bracelets.

Reflecting on being gifted the jewellery by the Queen of Pop, who was transitioning out of the 80s neon phase, Kim said: ‘One day I went down to walk Madonna’s dog and she brought down a shoebox and gave it to me and Kourtney.

‘We opened the box and it was all neon rubbery bracelets, and she said – “here girls I am so over this phase”, and we went to school and we were wearing all this like neon stuff and everyone was like “oh my God, where did you get that?”

‘And we were like “Madonna gave it to me” and they were like “yeah right”, and I am like “no seriously, Madonna gave it to me!”‘

The documentary In Vogue: The 90s, which will start streaming on Friday, is a star-studded look at the fashion industry during the decade.

It speaks to former Vogue editors including Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour and celebrities such as supermodel Naomi Campbell, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker.

It also features designer Stella McCartney who revealed the advantage she had being the daughter of The Beatles star Paul.

Kim’s words came after Anna Wintour said that when she became Vogue editor, she decided to take it in new direction in 1989, looking at who young people were looking up to as style icons.

The scene then it cut to Kim on the couch talking about her Madonna anecdote.

Kim has previously revealed this story before, as she opened up to Jimmy Kimmell in April about her interactions with neighbour Madonna.

After detailing her experience as a dog walker, Kim was asked if she ever tick or treated at the Material Girl hitmaker’s hoe.

While she didn’t, the reality star did say she bumped into Madonna while trick or treating,  remarking: ‘We ran into each other actually trick-or-treating. We both had like masks on and we were going to the same house and then we looked at each other and I was like, “M? Kim?”‘

She told a new Disney+ documentary: ‘Parents would come up to me and say, “My daughter’s anorexic”. It was awful.

‘I think because I was just skinny, and people weren’t used to seeing skinny. But if I’d been more buxom, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. It’s just that my body shape was different from the models before me.’

The look became popular after the then 19-year-old posed in lingerie for the June 1993 issue of Vogue.
