Caitlin Clark is reunited with the boy whose shot she ruthlessly blocked

INDIANAPOLIS – The adorable love-hate relationship between Caitlin Clark and Eli Krost continued on Sunday when the 7-year-old was invited to courtside seats at an Indiana Fever game and reunited with Clark, a player who, in some way, helped him become famous on the Internet in an embarrassing way – blocking a shot too hard in a parking lot pick-up match.

After IndyStar published Eli’s side of the story last week, the kid who played basketball in that parking lot to a makeshift goal while the walls of his Habitat for Humanity home were being built, people from all over the country reached out to us to help the Krost family .

Clark was in Boone County volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity building on one of her days off from basketball when she faced Eli in a one-on-one game. Eli may have beaten the WNBA rookie sensation 6-2, but the world latched onto the video of Clark denying his shot.

“It was unfair. I played with a WNBA player who is a superstar,” Eli told IndyStar, defending his basketball skills after going viral as the boy whose shot was blocked by Clark’s Fever phenom. “I pointed at her and said, ‘It’s not fair.’”

Many Fever ticket holders were among those who wanted to help Eli. In this story, Eli made his one big wish clear.

“I want to go to the Fever game. I really want to go to the Fever game and I really, really want to see Caitlin Clark’s teammates,” he said. – Yes, and I want to play on her team.
