The head coach of the Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr, did not mince his words in the post-game conference. Kerr blatantly pointed out a flaw in the NBA rules and the unfair advantage it provides to offensive players in a game.

Kerr has been a top-level player himself and has competed against some of the legends of the game. He knows the game very well, so when he thinks that some changes need to be made, the league management should at least pay attention to it.

Kerr criticizes NBA rules

The head coach of the Dubs has criticized the NBA rules in a post-game conference following his team’s win over the Toronto Raptors. Steve Kerr, who recently addressed the absence of Andre Wiggins, did not hold back expressing his thoughts on the NBA rules. Kerr claimed that the league is doing well right now but the rules give an unfair advantage to the offensive players.

“To me, League is in a very good place. There are so many skilled players and I think the game is more efficient and the teams are smarter, the players are smarter. So the one area we can find balance is the way we officiate the game… the rules have been really geared towards enabling the offensive players and we have to get back to allowing the defense to guard,” said Kerr.

Steve also highlighted that the NBA rules have allowed the players to play more offensively but on the contrary have made it very difficult for other players to defend.

Kerr also stated that the rules have enabled traveling to a significant degree, comparing it to his playing days. He remarked that things were more stringent in his days, and the rules were very strict. However, he emphasized that even if the changes were made with good intentions, it is now time to balance things out.

“We have to give the defense more chance and it will start with not enabling the offensive players and bailing them out from Bulls*** stuff,” added Kerr, presenting a plea to make some changes.

Watch: Steve Kerr’s furious reaction at Warriors vs Raptors game

The Warriors faced the Raptors on Friday night and they were able to secure a great win with a final score of 120-105. However, they did not have the best start to the game, and their head coach Steve Kerr was furious with his players. A video clip of his reaction is making the rounds on social media. It is uploaded by the Warriors NBCS account and is captioned, “Kerr is not Happy.”

The video features a Raptors’ attack in the first quarter with 7 minutes on the clock. The Dubs were trailing by four points, and as the Raptors scored a basket, Steve called a timeout. He was furious with his team’s defense, shouting out instructions.

Steve’s exact words cannot be deciphered, but he did not look happy at all. However, Stephen Curry stepped up later in the game and seized the victory, proving Kerr’s statement about Curry carrying the Dubs this season true.
