Caitlin Clark showcased her skills against the Mystics on Wednesday, delivering a spectacular behind-the-back pass to NaLyssa Smith in transition, setting up an easy layup.
Caitlin Clark had a standout performance against the Mystics, despite the Fever’s loss. She recorded 29 points, five rebounds, and three blocks, along with 13 assists, marking one of her 13 assists in the game. However, turnovers were a challenge, as she contributed five of the Fever’s 23 turnovers. Clark played 38 minutes, shooting 7-of-14 from the field (including 5-of-9 from 3-point range) and made 10-of-11 free throws. Despite the loss, the Fever now hold a 9-14 record for the season.
Clark’s rookie season has been remarkable, earning her first All-Star nod alongside fellow rookie Angel Reese of the Sky. Earlier on July 6, she made history as the first WNBA rookie to achieve a triple-double, scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out 13 assists in a victory over the Liberty, 83-78.
