Not everyone was shown love by Patrick Mahomes.
After a devastating defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was seen handshaking his teammates with one notable exception.

The Eagles were merciless in their 40-22 rout of the back-to-back defending world champions in New Orleans.
Mahomes was the main talking point after the game as the 29-year-old put up one of the worst games of his career in a error-filled display.
The defeat also means the Chiefs were denied an unprecedented third-straight Super Bowl, a dream that quickly evaporated after heading in at halftime down 24-0.
Mahomes did well to contain his emotions after the game, showing love to his teammates on the Chiefs bench who painfully came up short.
However, running back Samaje Perine was left hanging by his quarterback, as instead Mahomes went straight to tight end Travis Kelce.
Perine even stood up expecting to be greeted by Mahomes like others before him, but was not acknowledged in footage that went viral after the game, which left fans confused.
“That’s weird as hell,” one fan wrote in a post on X.
“Walked right past Perine like he ain’t even see bro,” another fan also added.
“Damn Perine put the arm up and everything,” said a third.
“Poor Samaje,” wrote a fourth.

Mahomes did not appear to harbour any animosity towards his teammates in his post-game media interviews, blaming himself in a honest assessment of his performance.
“There’s no way around it. Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it’s the worst thing in the world… it will stick with you the rest of your career,” Mahomes told reporters.
“I mean these will be the two losses that will motivate me to be even better, for the rest of my career. Because you only get so few of these [Super Bowls], and you have to capitalize on them.”
The 29-year-old was sacked six times and threw two interceptions as any hope of a fourth Super Bowl title quickly unraveled in New Orleans.
“The turnovers hurt… I take all the blame for that. Those turnovers swing the moment of the game and they capitalized on them,” Mahomes added.
“They scored on one and got a touchdown immediately after another. That’s 14 points I gave them.
“It’s hard to come back from that in the Super Bowl. I have to learn from that and try to be better the next opportunity that I hopefully get.”
Ultimately, Sunday was a night to forget Mahomes and the Chiefs.
However, a Super Bowl defeat is not new to the quarterback or his team, having lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LVI.
Mahomes is now 3-2 in the big game and will hope regroup quickly and go again next season.
