A WHEEL of Fortune contestant named Emma was denied a puzzle she correctly solved and, in turn, a scenic trip to Alaska – leaving fans furious.

Pat Sajak, 77, stopped the show on Tuesday’s episode to clarify why he received a “no” from producers.

Emma said, 'Can’t See The Forest - Oh shoot!' but correctly added 'For the trees' right at the timer

The recently engaged Minneapolis-based crawfish lover was on the verge of solving a prize puzzle in the “Phrase” category.

She confidently opted to solve it after snagging a wildcard wedge.

She uttered, “Can’t See The Forest – Oh shoot!,” drawing chuckles from the audience.

She completed it, adding, “For The Trees,” just as the buzzer sounded, leaving the crowd gasping in disappointment.

Pat ruled, “I’m getting a no from everybody,” and decided against giving her the puzzle.

Emma somberly put down her wildcard wedge, handing control over to the next player, Ben.

He swiftly solved it as “Can’t See The Forest For The Trees,” mirroring Emma’s words, except he was ruled correct.

‘JUST CAN’T LET YOU SIT THERE’

Explaining the decision, Pat informed all three players, “So the reason I got a no from producers is you just broke it up too much.

“If you had gone back to the beginning and gone through it again we could have accepted it.

But we can’t just let you sit there and figure it out as you go.”

Ben’s solve secured him a tour of Alaska worth $9899, leading to mixed reactions from viewers.

‘REVOLTING!’

Some social media users called out the perceived unfairness of the ruling, and others expressed sympathy for Emma.

“BS!!! Emma solved that forest puzzle. Dumb rule,” one X user wrote.

“Jerks #wheeloffortune …poor Emma,” wrote another.

“To witness a man benefitting from a woman who did the all work is revolting,” wrote a third.

“She should have allowed to/asked to start over. Prize puzzle, extra painful #wheeloffortune” wrote a fourth.

“@WheelofFortune sometimes seems a little unfair if there’s a pause solving the puzzle. If they continued with the right words in puzzle, why not give the prize. Emma could have gotten it,” wrote a fifth.

Thankfully, Emma had the last laugh as she dominated the game and won with the highest score, going to the bonus round.

There, she aced the puzzle as “We Had a Laugh” and won a whopping $100,000 bonus prize as her fiance swooped in.

“Emma prevailed in spite of Wheel nonsense,” an additional fan wrote on X.

One more fan called it “Karma.”

PAT SPINS INTO RETIREMENT

Pat has been a mainstay on Wheel of Fortune for over forty years, so fans were shocked when he announced his upcoming retirement.

Sajak revealed the news in a personal note on X, formerly Twitter, on June 12, 2023.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” he tweeted.

“It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”

“Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)” he added.

“When we started Wheel of Fortune’who could have imagined we’d still be at it 41 seasons later?” Vanna tweeted in response.

“I couldn’t be happier to have shared the stage with you for all these years with one more to come,” she added. “Cheers to you!”

Wheel of Fortune’s 41st season premiered on September 11, 2023, and will reportedly run through early June 2024.

The show airs weekdays at 7:30 pm ET on ABC, and Pat’s last episode is believed to be airing on June 7, 2024.

It’s unclear whether his sendoff will be “supersized” or whether any additional surprises are set for Pat’s final night as host.

Just a few weeks later, Ryan Seacrest announced on Instagram that he would be replacing Pat.

“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest wrote.
