When will Tom Brady make his NFL broadcasting debut?

It’s been known that Tom Brady will take on an NFL broadcasting gig for Fox Sports. However, nobody was sure exactly when he’d make his debut. After taking a year off to prepare for his new job, we now finally know when the future Hall of Famer will hit the broadcast booth.

Michael Strahan made the announcement at an event alongside the New England Patriots icon. Strahan reports that Brady will make his broadcasting debut in Week 1 for the Dallas Cowboys-Cleveland Browns Week 1 matchup, according to Fox Sports.

The full NFL schedule has not been released yet. However, we know the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Additionally, we now know the Cowboys and Browns will face off in the same week with Tom Brady in the broadcast booth. It’s a smart move from the league to get Brady on the call for the Cowboys’ Week 1 game considering they are one of the most popular teams in the world.

The NFL should garner plenty of views for that Cowboys-Browns game and hopefully, Brady lives up to expectations. Based on how he orchestrated himself in the league, we should expect Brady to be at the top of his game in the booth. TB12 will be broadcasting throughout the entire season, but everyone should be tuning into Week 1 to see how he handles himself.

Why Tom Brady will crush it in the broadcast booth

Preparation was key to Brady’s success in the NFL, as he was well-known for being a student of the game. He also thrives to be the best, which is a rare character trait. Include his incredible work ethic and you have a superstar talent on and off the field.

Tom Brady will provide high-end insights into the games and it’ll be interesting to see how he approaches being a broadcaster. Tony Romo became popular because he was able to provide solid analysis and accurately guess what teams would do in certain situations. Brady will likely provide something similar, but considering he’s the GOAT, Brady has the potential to be substantially better than Romo.

On top of that, Brady is comfortable talking into the mic. He’s had years of experience being interviewed and even has his own podcast. So, this isn’t anything new for the GOAT. Look for Brady to make an immediate impact and sound like a true veteran in the broadcast booth despite the fact he’ll be a rookie. But Brady might be aiming for a Hall of Fame career as a broadcaster, which would be amazing to see.
