Nike had just one job to get correct when it came to Caitlin Clark, and they still managed to get it wrong.

Caitlin Clark had been a lock to be the first-overall pick to the Indiana Fever for months, and fans have been dealt a huge blow as Fanatics won’t be able to ship Nike-made Indiana Fever jerseys with their newest star’s name and number on it after they sold out n record time.

The jerseys won’t be shipped until August, which really sucks since the season ends in September.

That’s according to a disclaimer on the Fanatics website, as it says that fans who want to pre-order Clark’s WNBA jersey now or in the near future won’t be receiving their items until the end of summer.

“We are currently sold out of our initial batch of this jersey – if you choose to place a pre-order today, our restock will be available to ship in August due to Nike’s manufacturing times,” the disclaimer reads.

WNBA fans are understandably upset over this terrible error, and they made their feelings known about it online:

Shortly after the Indiana Fever selected her with the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Draft on Monday, most sizes of Clark’s jersey were sold out on Fanatics within an hour. It is currently unknown how many Clark jerseys Fanatics sold, but extra small, medium, large, extra large, and double-extra large jerseys were unavailable to purchase on the website.

The Indiana Fever’s final regular season game is scheduled for September 19, which means if you order from Fanatics, you’ll have your Caitlin Clark jersey for only about a month before the end of the season.

The Fever’s first regular season game of the 2024 WNBA season is on May 14.
