It will go under the hammer alongside 30 other models from the British brand

A UNIQUE Range Rover limousine formerly used by boxing legend Mike Tyson is back on the market at a heavily reduced price.

The bizarre motor carried Tyson to one of his most iconic fights as his comeback tour following a four-month prison sentence stopped off in the UK.

The black 1994 Range Rover Vogue was stretched into a limo by luxury coachbuilders Townley Cross Country Vehicles.

It includes some retro fittings which would have been the height of fashion at the time, including two TV screens, a VHS recorder and a CD player.

In June 2000, it was used to transport “The Baddest Man on the Planet” to his fight against Lou Savarese at Glasgow’s Hampden Park.

The bout was the second of two that Tyson had in the UK that year, the first being against Julius Francis in Manchester, as he came back to the sport following a nine-month prison sentence in relation to a road rage assault in 1998.

Iron Mike famously knocked Savarese out 38 seconds into the first round, even knocking down the referee as he attempted to separate the fighters.

After the match, Tyson would proclaim himself the “best ever” and challenge unified WBC, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis by saying he wanted to “eat his children”.

Lewis would go on to defeat Tyson by knockout in the eighth round.

Now, the car has returned to the market after going unsold in 2023 with just £17,000 miles on the clock.

And while it was used by Tyson, it’s actually owned by the man who commissioned it – the Sultan of Brunei.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, believed to have a net worth of over £23 billion, sold his classic Aston Martin last year for £240,000.

However, while it’s understood to be worth around £135,000, the Range Rover limo now is available for a heavily reduced rate, with bidding starting from £30,000.

It is set to be auctioned alongside 30 other Range Rovers on March 24.

Rob Hubbard of Classic Car Auctions said: “Properly engineered by a renowned specialist and in superb condition, this striking vehicle would be ideal for corporate ventures and promotional events or taking your extended family out to lunch.”

It comes as Tyson prepares for a controversial clash with YouTube star Jake Paul on July 20.

The showcase bout will be aired on Netflix and is expected to generate £234 million.
