A WWE star recently disclosed their desire to engage in a match with the multi-platinum-selling music artist Cardi B. Expressing interest in a creative angle for this potential showdown, the wrestler envisioned an exciting crossover between the world of professional wrestling and Cardi B’s musical stardom.
Cardi B’s name has frequently surfaced in discussions about potential celebrity appearances in pro wrestling, given the artist’s known fandom of the sport. Earlier this year, Cardi teased a possible appearance at WrestleMania 40, sparking speculation about who could be her opponent in the ring.
One wrestler who actively threw her hat into the ring for this opportunity was Chelsea Green. Utilizing social media, Green attempted to goad Cardi into making an appearance on WWE TV. In a recent interview with Spencer Love for Love Wrestling, Green was asked about the prospect of facing off against or teaming up with Cardi in the future.
Green revealed that she had hoped for such a collaboration, especially during her involvement in the Chelsea’s Got Talent social media campaign earlier in the year. She expressed her candid desire for Cardi B’s involvement and emphasized the numerous exciting possibilities that could have emerged from the campaign.
During Chelsea’s Got Talent, the goal was to find a tag team partner, and Green eventually joined forces with Piper Niven. Despite their initial odd-couple dynamic, Niven and Green went on to enjoy a reign of over 100 days as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Their championship run concluded recently when they lost the titles to Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on the December 18 edition of Raw.
