Kris Jenner has had fans speculating over the real reason why she chooses to cover her hands and arms, as she regularly opts to keep them out of sight in public or in photographs

Kardashian matriarch and reality TV star Kris Jenner has one trend in her pictures and public appearances – she conceals her hands.

Her hands never appear to be on show, with the star tending to wear gloves or even to conceal them in her pockets or out of sight when out in public. In recent snaps the ‘momager’ has been seen sporting a covered up style, and fans have spotted it too.

In the past fans have turned to social media to question why the star’s hands and arms never appear to be on show even at the hottest times of the year. One fan wrote on social media: “It’s hard to cheat your age with arms and neck. Her neck is often blurred in the new season.”

Speaking on Reddit, other fans suggested: “She’s said before that she’s insecure about her arms so she keeps them covered.” Others have likened her to Dolly Parton who keeps her hands and arms covered, as they suggested: “She’s pulling a Dolly Parton and hiding all her tattoo sleeves.”

In 2016, rumours swirled that Kris had even gone as far as surgery to conceal ageing on her hands. She stepped out with noticeably swollen hands, and at the time surgeons claimed it could be down to fillers. Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. John Knight told Radar Online : “It looks like Kris Jenner had plastic rejuvenation on her hands. It’s called Radiesse and it is a filler injected into her hands to make them appear more youthful. The swelling should go down in a few days.”

At the time, a rep for the reality star told Gossip Cop that she had an operation to repair a bone spur on her middle finger and cysts on her hand. In the past, Kris has been open about her anti-aging plastic surgeries and she even received a face lift on a 2011 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

However, Doctor Anthony Youn, who has never treated Kris before, made sensational claims it could even be a more serious issue. The star had surgery on her right hand recently, and Dr Youn added: “Kris could be retaining water from a recent surgery or because she went off certain types of medications.”

Dolly Parton has also been known to conceal her fingers and hands in a bid to hide the signs of ageing and cover up. Since 2010, Dolly has worn fingerless gloves for virtually every public appearance or photoshoot or long sleeves which cover the top of her hands. Although the gloves and long sleeves are a style choice, the country crooner admitted she wants to cover up some tattoos in those areas on her body.

However, Dolly’s creative director Steve Summers says Dolly wears her gloves as a fashion statement. He said at the time: “People always ask why she always wears sleeves — well, she’s 73 years old, and she doesn’t like her elbows.” He added: “[They ask] ‘what’s wrong with her hands?’ She’s 73, and she doesn’t like them! It’s a normal woman thing.”
