As the Fast & Furious franchise is driving towards its end, the Fast X stars look forward to the comeback of the late Paul Walker for one last time. Although Furious 7 already provided a heartfelt tribute to the late star who lost his life in a car crash in 2013, it can’t be denied that not only the fans but the star of the franchise also want to bid a proper farewell to him.
Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner
Before the release of the tenth installment in the main Fast & Furious franchise, director Louis Leterrier also expressed his thoughts on the return of Paul Walker. In an interview with Games Radar, the Transporter 2 director said that bringing back Brian O’Conner is a very important event and must be handled with utmost care.
Will we see Paul Walker one last time?

It is no doubt that everybody on board the Fast & Furious franchise will be happy to bring back everyone from the original saga to conclude one of the biggest action franchises in Hollywood. But sadly, after Paul Walker left us in a tragic car incident, there’s a void that nobody can fill. Even though technology helped us to bid an emotional goodbye to Brian O’Conner with an emotional Charlie Puth track at the end of the seventh part, the saga finale would still be incomplete with him.
Speaking on Walker’s posthumous return to the finale, Louis Leterrier opened up that we can see Brian O’Conner in the past, but seeing him in the present is an extremely important affair. He added that the decision would require the approval of everybody, along with perfect timing.
“You will see Brian in the past, you won’t see Brian in the present. It’s something that everybody has to be on board with. The Walker family is still very much a part of this franchise, you’ll see how in this movie. It just has to be the right moment, the right tone.”
Director Louis Leterrier with Vin Diesel
As Fast X opens up with a recap of the Fast Five sequence where Paul Walker and Vin Diesel pull off the iconic heist sequence, the fans were delighted to relive that moment once again. But even Diesel stated his remark on the return of O’Conner on a very hopeful note.

Speaking to Games Radar, the Dominic Toretto fame also left his remark on the return of Paul Walker’s character on a hopeful note. Vin Diesel added that the saga is yet to present a true goodbye to Brian O’Conner.
“I will give you this without spoiling anything: I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without truly saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner.”
Diesel’s statement also hints at a possible comeback of the Joy Ride actor. Once again, technology might come to our aid to gift us with an emotional moment at the “Endgame level” of this franchise.
The recently released Fast X, despite garnering mixed reviews from the critics, delivered some twisted and surprising returns to the franchise along with an exciting cameo at the end credits scene. Jason Momoa, who is introduced in this saga as Dante Reyes (the son of Fast Five’s Hernan Reyes), also attracted praise for his portrayal as an amazing villain. Further, two more sequels are in development, thereby making the finale a three-part extravaganza.
