Golden State Warriors ace Stephen Curry has revealed his retirement plans after he is done with the NBA. Curry has been a key player for the Warriors this season, carrying the Dubs single-handedly for the entire season.

The fans love him a lot for his humble behavior and crispy three-pointers. But now his recent statements have sparked a discussion among the fans. Some think he has a great plan, while others do not think it is a very good idea.

Stephen Curry hints at post-NBA plans

Warriors star Stephen Curry has dropped hints about his plans after he retires from the NBA. The three-point maestro was interviewed on “CBS This Morning,” where he promoted his new children’s book, “I am Extraordinary.” During his time on CBS, Curry was asked if he would make a run for the White House in the future and the NBA star responded with a “Maybe” while laughing.

He is using his voice to speak out about issues he cares about, which include politics. But politics can be messy. By taking a stance, Curry knows he might upset some fans, even if his intentions are good. He says, “That’s when I first realized, you’re not gonna please everybody.”

“I have an interest in leveraging every bit of my influence for good in a way that I can so if that is the way to do it. I am not going to say the presidency but if the politics are a way that can create meaningful change or if there are other ways outside of politics,” said Curry. When asked if fans could expect to see a contest in the 2028 presidential elections, the Dubs star said that “it was too soon.”

Curry can turn to business after retirement

It would be great to see Curry delve into politics after he decides to hang up his shoes. However, in another interview, the Warriors star revealed another retirement plan that may be more suited to him. In an interview with Inc. Magazine, Curry and his wife Ayesha revealed that the couple were thinking of building affordable housing in the Bay Area in the future.

“They are planning to launch a line of children’s products later this year. They are talking about building affordable housing in the Bay Area one day,” wrote Tom Foster, editor at Large, in an article. These statements by the Curry family revealed that the Warriors star can delve into business after retiring as well. When compared to politics, business would be a more suitable line of work for him in the future. However, he can give back more to the community if he decides to choose the political route.

The fans will have to wait to see what the little magician chooses to do once he is done hooping. What do you think of Curry’s statements? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
