Jason Sudeikis and Meek Mill joined a handful of celebrities who trooped to the Barclays Center to watch Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. The Liberty, one of New York’s most popular teams, often see A-listers watch their games. Sudeikis and Mill were just the latest to be spotted inside the arena.
Sudeikis, an actor, comedian, screenwriter and Liberty fan, was featured on the jumbo screen vibing to music during a lull in the action. He was with his sister to catch the Lynx-Liberty matchup.
Meanwhile, Mill sat courtside beside CBS anchor Gayle King. The rapper, a Philadelphia native, is a big fan of Philly teams. He has attended 76ers games in the NBA in the past. But since his city doesn’t have a WNBA team, he went to enjoy the game.

An epic Lynx-Liberty Game 1 battle in the WNBA Finals
The crowd at Barclays Center got to see an exciting Game 1 battle between the Lynx and the Liberty. Minnesota, which booked a ticket to the WNBA Finals after a testy and exacting five-game series against the Connecticut Sun, opened the quarter lethargic.
The Lynx only had one day after eliminating the Sun before facing the Liberty. They struggled early and went down by as many as 18 points and trailed 19-32 after the first 10 minutes.
Behind Napheesa Collier, the visitors steadily clawed back into the game. Breanna Stewart had a chance to give the Liberty the win in the fourth quarter but missed a free throw. The collective groan of the crowd could be heard when “Stewie” muffed her shot.
Before the overtime, Jason Sudeikis, Meek Mill and the fans already enjoyed 40 minutes of action. The next five minutes in Game 1 proved to be a thriller.
