The ringside seat features a number of expensive amenities
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to go head to head in one of the biggest fights of the 2024 boxing calendar, with fans already queuing to get their hands on tickets.
But one mega-rich spectator will have the chance to see the fight in all of its glory for the hefty price of $2million, in what is being billed as a super ticket.
Tyson Fury blames judges with unbelievable excuse for his loss to Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson, 58, will take on Paul, 31, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20, and with the fight going down as a professional bout, Tyson will be keen to avoid a first defeat of his career.
Tickets go on sale in late May, but Netflix claim that over 121,000 have already signed up for pre-sale access, with another 10,000 eyeing VIP seats, according to Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
For those looking to go ringside and bask in the ultra-luxury offerings in Texas, they can purchase a $2m ticket, which contains everything from backstage access to a five-star hotel stay.
The ticket includes amenities such as: two ringside apron seats, eight ringside floor seats, complimentary food and drink and dressing room access to see the fighters backstage.
It also promises a pre-fight photo with both men, signed gloves, and a two-night stay in a plush hotel where the boxers will also be residing.
A money-making scheme?
There is a clear motivation for Paul, who can boast his boxing reputation by beating ‘Iron Mike’. The American is one of boxing’s greatest names – even if he is nearly two decades past his original retirement.
But for Tyson, many have claimed he is fighting for the sole purpose of picking up a huge check – and with both fighters expected to pocket an eight-figure fee, it is no wonder tickets are so expensive.
Most boxing enthusiasts agree that the fight is nothing more than a money-making ploy, even if the contest has been officially declared a professional fight. The 31-year age gap has raised questions about whether the fight should even be happening, given Tyson retired in 2005 and hasn’t fought in the ring since December 2020.
But there is a huge demand to attend the fight, with fans desperate to get into the arena. The event will be streamed to a huge audience on Netflix for the first time.
