Kim Kardashian has revealed she’s mended her relationship with Caitlyn Jenner, after the family were embroiled in a lengthy feud.

Caitlyn had sparked friction with her family when she first reflected on her marriage to Kris, after coming out as transgender, before going onto speak about them in length in the documentary series House Of Kardashian.

But it appears that Kim has begun to build bridges with her stepfather Caitlyn, as she took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to mark her 75th birthday.

Posting a selfie with Caitlyn, Kim captioned the post: ‘Happy 75th Birthday. I love you.’

None of Kim’s siblings – Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and Kendall Jenner – echoed her sentiment, as they stayed noticeably silent on Caitlyn’s birthday, as did her ex Kris.

Caitlyn also showed her appreciation for Kim’s tribute, by reposting the snap on her Instagram Stories.

Last year, sources said that Caitlyn was ‘extremely remorseful’ after she upset the Kardashian and Jenner families after publicly revealing that she and ex-wife Kris Jno longer communicate.

A source told TMZ that the Olympic gold medalist was instantly regretful that her interview on the British daytime show This Morning caused ‘some family drama’ amid the revelation about her lack of contact with her Kris.

The I Am Cait star shared 22 years of marriage with Kris and they welcomed two children together, Kendall and Kylie.

The Mount Kisco, New York-born celebrity garnered a hostile reaction from relatives after she said the state of her relationship with Kris was ‘really sad,’ as she promoted the release of her three-part tell-all series, House Of Kardashian.

Insiders close to Caitlyn told the outlet that many family members, including Kendall and Kylie, sided with Kris over Caitlyn on the issue.

Compounding the hostility within the family, the source said, was that they were ‘not on board’ with Caitlyn’s paid participation in House of Kardashian.

Caitlyn took to Twitter to defend her motives in appearing in the three-part project, which was produced by the Comcast-owned, Europe-based company Sky.

‘I did “House of Kardashian” to defend my family and I speak extremely highly of my kids and Kris – the mastermind behind it all – who I spent 22 beautiful years with,’ Caitlyn said.

Caitlyn said she ‘meant to say in the interview’ that she ‘didn’t speak with her in the context of this project,’ claiming that they are in touch with one another sporadically.

‘To be clear – I am thrilled that @KrisJenner and I are able to talk and co-parent and see each other here and there,’ Caitlyn said. ‘We spent 22 amazing years together.’

Sources told TMZ Thursday that Caitlyn – who has not been seen on the family’s current Hulu series The Kardashians – feels like she should be able to work on whatever she chooses to without having a ‘gag order’ when it comes to family matters.

Caitlyn ‘was just speaking the truth about how things are’ in her relationship with her ex-wife in the This Morning interview, but regrets airing them publicly, insiders told the outlet.

In the This Morning interview, Caitlyn recalled her first meeting with Kris, which took place before she transitioned and was known as Bruce.

She said: ‘I had been single for six years, and really kind of struggling with myself and who I was and how I fit into the world. I was just turning 40 and met Kris on a blind date, we hit it off from day one. Was it love at first sight? Pretty close to that, yes.’

She added, ‘I was totally impressed with her and how she lived her life – she had four kids, I had four kids… and we got married five and a half months later! It was very quick.’

As far as their relationship now is concerned, she explained: ‘Well Kris, I really never talk to anymore. Yeah, it’s sad.

She said, ‘If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others … I certainly see them and we do this and that.

‘I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot.’

The new documentary series will feature unseen archival footage and first-hand testimony from the family’s inner circle.

As one of the most famous families in the world, the program, produced by 72 Films, explores their family dynamics, scandals, controversial business deals and personal struggles.

Caitlyn’s presence in the family has caused friction for some time – with a memorable Keeping Up With The Kardashians scene showing Kendall clashing with Kris over not inviting her to the family’s Christmas Eve party.

The former Olympic athlete was also said to be ‘shocked’ last year when she didn’t receive an invite to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s third wedding in Italy.

The drama first arose in 2017, as newly-transitioned Caitlyn came out with her memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, which included a warts-and-all depiction of Kris and their marriage.

‘I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her,’ Caitlyn insisted in the book, some of whose claims Kris has publicly denied. ‘This will always be a subject of dispute between Kris and me as to how much she could intuit about my gender issues. She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn.

‘I told her I dressed as a woman, and she knew I did, because I did it several times in front of her after we were married.’

The Kardashian sisters instantly closed ranks around their mother, while Caitlyn’s relationship with Khloe went on to deteriorate into a rancorous years-long feud.

Speaking about the series, Caitlyn said: ‘I was happy to participate in the interview process to share my side which points to the strength, influence, and prowess my family has in captivating the world’s attention and keeping it over the years. I am incredibly proud of all my children and stepchildren.’

Upon tying the knot with Kris in 1991, Caitlyn became the stepfather of her children whom she welcomed with late attorney, Robert Kardashian: Kourtney, 44, Kim, 42, Khloe, and also Rob, 36. Robert, a member of O.J. Simpson’s legal team during his murder trial, passed away in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Throughout the course of Caitlyn and Kris’ marriage, they also welcomed daughters Kendall and Kylie. However, the former couple finalized their divorce in 2015, the same year Jenner came out as transgender.

Tensions also ensued after Caitlyn was shut out of the family’s new Hulu show, The Kardashians.

Caitlyn’s ex-wife Kris Jenner confirmed to Variety that she was not included in the series, which sees the Kardashian-Jenner women split a massive nine-figure salary.

‘I was there when this started from day one. I watched it grow. And doing the show for almost 20 seasons was one of the highlights of my life,’ Caitlyn tweeted in March of 2022. ‘To be able to work with my family for all those years, connect with the fans, it was incredible.

Caitlyn penned her tweet in response to a tweet by Variety promoting a Kardashian family interview, said, ‘Happy that it continues for my family.’

Caitlyn was a regular on Keeping Up With The Kardashians from its very first season, which premiered on E! in October 2007, until 2015.

The reality show was the brainchild of Kris and TV host and producer Ryan Seacrest, and followed the lives of Kris’ family, which included Caitlyn – then Bruce – along with their children.

Viewers bore witness to the end of her 22-year marriage to Kris, as well as her decision to come out as transgender. Caitlyn further documented her transition and new life as a single woman on the KUWTK spinoff series I Am Cait, which aired for two seasons on E!

After 14 years, the Kardashian-Jenner clan decided to pull the plug on their long-running reality series and announced in 2020 that the 20th season would be its last.

In an interview with Australia’s The Morning Show, Caitlyn claimed that she was not informed by her family about the show’s end.

‘I heard it on the news!’ she said. ‘Nobody called me, I heard it through the media. Was I surprised? No.’

Keeping Up With The Kardashians officially concluded in June 2021, with the family participating in a two-part reunion special. Caitlyn did not make an appearance.

During the special, Kris briefly spoke on their failed marriage and admitted to host Andy Cohen that her and Caitlyn did have ‘a lot of really great years’ together.

When asked if Caitlyn’s transition played a role in their divorce, Kris shutdown the notion and confessed that they probably would have split up regardless.
