College Basketball Player Jumps Into Stands To Confront Fan Who Called Him A “Terrorist” During Ugly Scene After Game (VIDEO)

This is not a good look for anyone involved.

Following a college basketball game between the California Golden Bears and the UTEP Miners at the SoCal Challenge on Tuesday, Cal forward Fardaws Aimaq had heard enough from one ignorant fan and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Footage from after the game shows Aimaq entering the stands and climbing to the top of the steps to confront a fan who supposedly called him a “terrorist” during the game, among other things.

Aimaq is from Vancouver, but his background is Afghan. According to his agent, the fan in question had called him a “terrorist” and told him to “leave the country.”

While it is never advised that a player enter the stands to confront a fan, it’s hard to blame Aimaq for his actions. If the report from his agent is true, then it’s fair to say that the fan actually got off easy and probably deserved more than just a threat from the 6’11” Golden Bears star.

Despite all that, Cal coach Mark Madsen still released the following statement condemning the fan, but also admitting that Aimaq needs to control his emotions a little better.

UTEP would go on to win the game, 75-72. As for Aimaq, he registered a team-high 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds and two steals. He is currently averaging an impressive 17.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for Cal this season.
